Medora Steedman Bass, the last family member to reside at the Casa and the driving force behind what is now known as the Casa del Herrero Foundation, wished for her family’s estate to ultimately become a resource for the community.

Ember + Forge | Blacksmith Exhibition

Casa del Herrero is excited to announce its partnership with Santa Barbara Forge for a one of a kind blacksmith event. Upon arrival, guests can take a walk through George Fox Steedman's historic blacksmith workshop and get a behind-the-scenes look into the 100-year-old space. This is a rare opportunity to get a more in-depth explanation of Steedman's tools, craftsmanship style, and vision when he designed and created his metalwork projects.
